New Pre-show for a New Year

For this action-packed visual effects feast, we were tasked with delivering a whopping 43 shots. The project began with proprietary tool development to solve some of the most complex thread animation tasks like arbitrary length, on-the-fly splaying, twisting, banking, rolling, separating, and many other idiosyncratic requests. Next we built multiple rigs and animation controls to make the process streamlined. Finally we built custom particle and fluid dynamics, specially optimized to the enormous scene requirements. In the end viewers are taken for a thrill ride to the movies.
